THE LOTTERY CONSULTATION HAS STARTED - here's your chance to have your say on the £8.9M restoration project for the park and house!

Go to Hackney Council's page on the project and fill out the online Clissold Park and House Restoration Consultation (it's in the top right corner of their page).

We'd like as many of these as possible to be completed to get a really representative response. So tell your all your family, friends and neighbours.

Visit The Park Ranger's office. Questionnaires and the masterplans are on display in the Ranger¹s Office at Clissold House. Drop in and have your say about the proposals for the your Park and House.

For further information about the project and more ways in which you can get involved email Rob Brown, project team member, or phone him on: 020 83562970

No 3 QUEEN ELIZABETH WALK

Alas controversy once again surrounds the squatting of this former park manager's house which has been left empty for nearly six years - and squatted and evacuated many times since. For most of the time it has been an expensive eyesore and a place for vermin and rubbish to accumulate.

The CPUG has urged the Council to take decisive action to bring either the building, or the vacated land back into proper park use. Meanwhile many people have expressed their support for the current squatters, who have done a better job of looking after the property than the Council.

In the long term the site, with or without its building, must become part of the park again. But how long do we have to wait?
